​This week’s RIAC- Motorsport Ireland classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1997 Inistioge Hillclimb.
With the 2022 Alekto Irish Hillclimb and Sprint Championship beginning this weekend, we head back 25 years to the opening round of the 1997 championship which took place at Inistioge, Co. Kilkenny. A hugely popular venue during the 90s, the picturesque village of Inistioge provided a perfect backdrop as a huge variety of machinery tackled the challenging course. This RPM report covers all 7 classes from the event where veteran Ronnie Maybin proved to be the class of the field in his Delta T80.
