This week’s RIAC- Motorsport Ireland classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1991 Dunlop Saloon Championship. With both over 2 litre and up to 2 litre cars eligible to win the 1991 Dunlop Saloon Championship, it made for exciting race right throughout the grid. In this season recap we get highlights from 5 of the 10 rounds where Gordon Kellett showed his class in his Sierra Cosworth in the over 2 litre class. As it turned out, Kellett’s main rival as the season progressed was the Opel Kadett mounted Thomas O’Rourke who was competing in the up to 2 litre class and with close racing, accidents, overtaking and stewards decisions featuring in the closing rounds, the series drew to a spectacular and controversial close. This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on November 11th. Next week’s upload will feature highlights from the 2001 Lurgan Park Rally where Gwyndaf Evans was looking to take his 4th win in the Park.
