This week’s RIAC - Motorsport Ireland classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1996 Ulster Rallycross Grand Prix. Held in Nutts Corner, the 1996 Ulster Rallycross Grand Prix provided spectacular racing throughout the divisions. Following a recent change to regulations meaning Group B derived rally cars were to be phased out of Rallycross, a number of Metro 6R4 drivers including Denis Biggerstaff turned up to race the new generation Group A car of Dermot Carnegie. After some clashes in the heats the Super Final served up a classic! This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on October 21st. Next week’s upload will feature Formula Opel Lotus season highlights from 1991.
