Job Vacancy - Motorsport Manager

​The Organisation
Motorsport Ireland is the National Governing Body for four-wheeled motorsport in Ireland.
It is affiliated to the authority for world motorsport, which is the "Federation Internationale
de l'Automobile" (FIA) based in Geneva and Paris. The FIA recognises in each of
its member countries, one sporting authority, in Ireland that is Motorsport Ireland.
The Role
The role reporting to the Board of Directors and the President of Motorsport Ireland
will be to manage the organisation from a commercial, governance and operational
perspective. This will involve all aspects of a member-based organisation and will
include (but not limited to) the following core areas;

• Operational management of the organisation
• Membership services & facilities
• Future planning and growth of the organisation
• Management of the Organisation and its responsibilities as a guardian of the sport in
• Ireland
• Public relations
• Advocacy on behalf of the Motor Sport sector in Ireland
• Development of additional services to members to include affinity offerings
• Management and reporting in a Committee Structured environment
• Staff management, currently includes, Administration Accounting, Corporate
• Governance, Data Protection and Health and Safety

The Person
The ideal candidate will have proven experience and credibility in the management of a
member-based organisation and will have a demonstrable track record of achievement
in leading an organisation in the hospitality, sport & leisure or the business services
sector. The candidate will also have experience of working with an active Board and
Committee structure and will act as a key adviser in the development of the
organisation over the coming years.
