Membership of the RIAC not only provides a home from home in Dublin, it also includes access to some excellent facilities, locally and world wide.
Dining at the club gives you access to relaxed dining at two excellent restaurants: The RIAC Restaurant – open 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday – with the emphasis on local ingredients and seasonal produce – click here for the menu which changes daily; and La Ruelle Wine Bar, with an array of wines, ports, sherries and champagnes from around the world, and wonderful variety of cheeses and cured meats – open 5pm – 12am, Wednesday to Saturday. La Ruelle and all other services are unaffected by annual holidays.
Members also enjoy access to dining rooms and other facilities at other private members clubs, such as the famous Royal Automobile Club and The Cavendish Club in London, and many more around the world.
The RIAC is the holder of the sporting power on behalf of the FIA in Ireland . This power is delegated on an annual basis to Motorsport Ireland. The headquarters of Motorsport Ireland are also located in the clubhouse on Dawson Street.
The RIAC organises the Pioneer Run, which celebrates the birth of Irish motoring. This event has now become an annual feature, taking place on the 20th October this year.
The club also arrange a Members’ run for “interesting” cars. This takes place in each year and, while it includes some basic navigational skills, it is primarily of a social nature and just for fun.
